Administration incompetence(?)

Jon Stewart @ Bill Moyers Journal – 2007.04.27.

[JS] – I used to have a real disconnect with the administration.
I couldnt figure out what was going on, I think its suddenly become cleat to me
They would rather us believe them to be wildly incompetent and inarticulate than to let us know anything about how they operate and so they do constitutionally mandated things (most of the time) but they dont.. they fulfil the letter of their obligation to checks and ballances but not the intent.

Based on a certain arogance, and now i reailse that is because they beleive there is one accountability moment for a president, and that is the 4 year election. and once you get that election you are done.
– they right, are they not?
[JS] – They are completly not right. The election moment is merely the american public saying , ooo we’d rather you be president than that guy. That’s it, the next 4 years you sill have to be obligeted by
the oversight process that is there to prevent this kind of bizar sort of cult like atmosphere
